Global Distribution and Asset Tracking
SM21 :: Strategic Mobility 21
Sponsored by the Office of Naval Research (ONR) Ablaze played an integral role in the development of the Initial Operating Capability (IOC) for the Joint Deployment and Distribution Support Platform (JDDSP) concept. The JDDSP concept is an integrated System-of-Systems (SoS) solution being designed by the Strategic Mobility 21 (SM21) Program to transform traditionally splintered logistics applications into a single agile supply chain network platform. The JDDSP will be composed of information technology based services and capabilities within a semantically enabled Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). The JDDSP SOA will promote total end-to-end visibility of containerized shipment and individual items.
RMLS :: Rugged Mobile Logistics System
Ablaze managed the design and development of a compact, rugged, mobile Automated Identification Technology (AIT) integrated warehouse system for use in a Military deployed environment. The system will employ a variety of active and passive RFID technologies; agile scanners and portable mesh networks. The project is sponsored through the U.S Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) under the Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Program.
Wi-Fi Vehicle Tracking
Ablaze instrumented two High-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWV or Humvee) so that their location and critical operating parameters could be monitored in real time anywhere in the world. A Wi-Fi system was added to each HMMWV and interfaced with a proprietary Asset Tracking GIS (Geographical Information System) such that any web browser in the world, given the proper security access, was able to monitor and track the HMMWV’s via a graphical mapping system. Parameters monitored included location, heading, speed, oil pressure, engine temperature, and fuel level.
